IP High Definition Surveillance

Meadowlands Clinic is a public hospital in Soweto, Gauteng
Due to its geographical position the clinic faced many serious security challenges, some of which include medicinal theft, after hour break-ins, vandalism and loitering. On a normal working day there is a large number of patients, staff and visitors on the premises which is a logistical challenge for any security company especially with no CCTV surveillance system to assist in policing and protecting the clinical staff and visitors.

In its quest to provide advanced patient care, Meadowlands clinic has made security a top priority, deploying a High Definition (HD) Surveillance System.

Working with the security experts MHA provided the design, installation, and service of this HD security system.
Meadowlands installed the following surveillance components in the first phase of the project roll out.

The key to the initial phase roll out was to design and provide a complete and comprehensive overview of the Main Hall, and the newly built clinical centres.

The entire Surveillance Solution is viewed by the security operators from a central Surveillance Control Room. As well as remote viewing was created at the guard rooms next to the main entrance.

The recording platform provides a solution for managing multi-megapixel IP cameras. The amount of High Definition Cameras and storage capability was designed to be completely expandable which is vital to ever growing solution.

With the requirements of Meadowlands Clinic, the primary goal of the HD Surveillance System is to capture the detail required for evidence collection.

With the Megapixel technology, the security operators will now be able to locate footage twice as fast
